Ola Care don’t care

I ordered an Ola Electric scooter S1X plus on 1st March because it was showing in the App that the scooter will be delivered by 11th March. As, I needed a scooter for my uncle for his daily commute and Ola was the only scooter which I could get in two weeks. So, I booked the scooter and made the full payment and uploaded all the KYC documents. In the next couple of days the verification was done and the scooter was dispatched. They also purchased the insurance for the scooter on the same day and since then the status is showing that the scooter is dispatched and registration is pending.

I called the Ola support team and they said that they have created a case and have put it on high priority and I will soon receive a call. Two days passed and I contacted them again to know the status and they said they have escalated it and it’s been handled on high priority. I listened to them as I didn’t have any options.

I called them multiple times and each time they were creating a ticket and that ticket was getting closed due to technical reasons. I never understood how on earth all the tickets got closed without any human intervention. I was pissed off from their support and dropped an email to cancel this and process a refund and they replied after two days that a refund can’t be provided because an invoice has been generated and asked me to allow them some time.

Meanwhile, I also raised multiple complaints on X (formerly Twitter) and the consumer forum and their reply was the same as expected that it’s been put on high priority and to allow them some more time.

A day after my complaint to the consumer forum, I received a call from Ola and the lady on the call said she is looking into this on high priority the registration of the scooter has started and I would receive a call for the OTP required for vehicle registration. Two weeks have passed since then and still they didn’t provide any resolution. The problem is they are not providing an option to cancel and get full refund so that i can look out for other options.

I have lost the trust in Ola electric as they show false information on the app to get as many orders. I also doubt their after sales service as I would have to connect with their support team which is useless to get things done. Hope this blog help you in taking right decision before buying an electric scooter.
